Jaime Verk with hand on heart

Maybe you’re not bad at relationships.

Maybe you’re repeating one.

Do you keep finding yourself in relationships that are almost what you want?

There’s chemistry. Connection. Potential.

And then, somewhere between attraction and commitment, something changes.

You overgive. Overthink. Wait. Hope. Try harder. Minimize your needs—or convince yourself you’re asking for too much.

You mistake intensity for compatibility.

Or you finally meet someone who is available, and suddenly you’re the one questioning everything, losing interest, or pulling away when things start to get real.

You understand your attachment style. You know your wounds. You’ve learned how to communicate.

And yet, when love is actually on the line, knowing better doesn’t always mean doing differently.

The same patterns still find you.

Different person. Familiar feeling.

Until eventually, you’re left wondering:

Why am I here again?

THE WORK BEGINS HERE…

Rooting for Romance

a seed with thing roots beginning to spread

You don’t need another dating strategy. You need a different relationship with yourself inside of dating.

Rooting for Romance is a 12-week live group experience designed to help you uncover the unconscious patterns shaping who you choose, how you attach, what you tolerate, and who you become when connection matters.

Together, we’ll move beyond understanding your patterns intellectually and begin changing how you actually experience relationship—in your body, your choices, your boundaries and your capacity to stay open.

So instead of asking: “How do I get this person to choose me?”

You begin asking: “Is this the love I choose?”

This isn’t about becoming better at dating.

It’s about becoming more available for the kind of relationship you actually want.

We slow things down enough to see what’s shaping your choices. Then we move into the body, clear what you’re still carrying, practice new ways of relating, and bring the work into your real relationships.

This isn’t about stepping away from love. It’s about learning how to meet it differently.

Understand the unconscious relationship blueprint shaping attraction, attachment and the partners you choose.

You’ll explore the relationship between your history, inner child, nervous system, chemistry and the patterns that keep repeating.

From unconscious repetition → awareness and choice.

Learn to stay connected to yourself when attraction, uncertainty, rejection, desire and vulnerability activate you.

Through somatic work, emotional processing, boundaries and shadow work, you’ll begin meeting needs internally that you’ve been asking relationships to resolve.

From self-abandonment → self-trust.

Bring your new relationship with yourself into actual dating and intimacy.

Develop discernment. Communicate needs. Recognize compatibility. Navigate red and yellow flags. Stay open without overinvesting.

And learn how to choose a partner based not only on chemistry, but on their capacity to build the relationship you actually want.

From getting chosen → choosing aligned partnership.

You cannot think your way out of a pattern your body still believes it needs.

Rooting for Romance isn’t about memorizing red flags, learning texting rules or becoming more desirable.

Because you can intellectually know someone is unavailable and still desperately want them.

You can know you should communicate your needs and still freeze when it’s time to speak.

You can understand your attachment style and still abandon yourself the moment you’re afraid of losing someone.

That’s why this work goes deeper.

We work with the body, nervous system, inner child, shadow, boundaries, emotional expression, pleasure and real-life relational practice—so change isn’t something you merely understand.

It becomes something you can live.

I didn’t learn relationship from a textbook.

I’ve been married. Divorced. Practiced ethical non-monogamy and polyamory. I’ve loved people I wasn’t compatible with, stayed when I should have left, adapted, attached, grieved, let go—and allowed relationship itself to become one of my greatest teachers.

For the past 9 years, my work has centered around intimacy, embodiment and personal transformation. And for the last 5 years, I’ve had a unique front-row seat to the dating lives of singles—facilitating conscious dating experiences, coaching individuals and couples, and witnessing the patterns that emerge when attraction, desire, uncertainty and vulnerability enter the room.

I’ve watched incredibly self-aware people understand their attachment styles and know their wounds, and still lose themselves when they really want someone. I’ve seen people chase what’s unavailable, overlook what’s aligned, silence their needs, confuse chemistry with compatibility, and wonder why they keep ending up in the same relationship with a different person.

Rooting for Romance grew out of those five years of witnessing.

It brings together what I’ve learned through Tantra, somatic and nervous-system work, inner-child and shadow work, grief coaching, alongside my own lived experience of allowing relationship to continually show me where I still have room to grow.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Relationships don’t only reveal who you’re dating.

They reveal who you become when the stakes are high and love is on the line.

My work is about helping you meet what those moments reveal, not with shame or judgment, but with curiosity, embodiment, honesty and play, so that love doesn’t require you to become less of yourself.

It becomes a place where you can become more fully yourself.

“But what if I do all this work and still don’t find my person?”

No program can promise when or with whom love will arrive.

But you can change the person who meets it when it does.

You can stop spending months trying to turn incompatibility into potential.

You can trust yourself enough to leave what isn’t right.

You can stop making someone else’s desire for you the measure of your worth.

You can become clearer, more discerning, more open, more honest and more capable of intimacy.

The goal isn’t to guarantee who comes along.

It’s to make sure you don’t abandon yourself when they do.
