What is Somatic Energy Healing?

A body-based approach to emotional healing, nervous system regulation, and integration

Somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning “the living body.”
It refers to practices that work directly with bodily sensation, breath, and nervous system experience rather than focusing only on thoughts or analysis.

Somatic Energy Healing can be a gentle, body-based approach that supports emotional regulation, nervous system safety, and embodied healing.

Rather than analyzing experiences from the mind alone, this work engages the body, breath, and energetic system where patterns, trauma, and emotional memory are held.

Each session is guided by what your system needs in the moment. No two sessions are the same.

How it works

  • This work may include:
  • Nervous system regulation and somatic awareness
  • Intuitive energy work
  • Emotional processing and integration
  • Movement, sounds, breathwork
  • Inner child and parts-based exploration
  • Self-reflection journaling or writing
  • Shadow awareness and self-acceptance
  • The intention is not to “fix” you, but to help your system release what it no longer needs and restore a sense of internal safety and coherence.
This work is informed by somatic healing, trauma-informed practices, energy healing lineages, and over 15 years of guiding embodied movement and yoga.

Yoga is not approached here as exercise, but as somatic technology, a way of working with breath, fascia, sensation, and awareness to gently support nervous system regulation and emotional integration.

Practices such as yin and restorative work deepen access to the connective tissue where emotional memory is often held, allowing patterns to soften and reorganize safely over time.

This work is held with care, consent, and respect for your lived experience.

Ancestral Healing

Many somatic and energy-based traditions understand the body as holding emotional and relational memory, shaped by early experiences, family systems, and inherited patterns.

Contemporary research in epigenetics also suggests that stress and trauma can influence how patterns are carried across generations. From this perspective, somatic energy work supports the gentle unwinding of what has been held over time, allowing greater clarity, regulation, and self-connection to emerge.

Rather than forcing change, this work creates the conditions for the body’s natural capacity for healing and integration to unfold.
